The Moncton Area Amateur Radio Club, Inc. ( MAARC ) financed, constructed and continues to maintain the Packet Network in the Moncton area. MAARC welcomes all Radio Amateurs to use the Packet Network.  Special thanks to MAARC members for their key role in sustaining the Packet Network.

The EMO backbone packet work is now complete.

All sites have had the necessary 220 MHz frequency change to comply with the changes made to our amateur 220 MHz band. Also, radio and TNC batteries have been changed out. The nodes in the Moncton area have been repaired and VE1FUN BBS is now usable again from 145.010 or from the EMO 220 MHz system connections. There is one antenna yet to be replaced at Caledonia on the UHF 70 cm port but for the present it has been temporarily repaired till a new one can be installed by VE1NU.

The VE1DAP packet node on 145.030 at Mt Pleasant has been repaired and a new high antenna installed. The VE9EMD-5 EMO VHF packet node at Crabbe Mtn has been converted from the old LAN frequency of 145.070 MHz to 145.030 MHz.

Work is ongoing on other Lepreau work and 145.030 rearrangements and realignments. Watch here for more.
